I lived in Japan for more than a decade, so I am very familiar with the culture. With over 17 years of experience translating, I can provide Japanese to English translations you can be sure are both accurate and natural-sounding. In fact, the reader will likely be unaware that they are reading a translation.

While in university I spent a year at International Christian University in Tokyo as an exchange student. I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Japanese and World Business.

In addition to business translations, I am capable of providing general IT-related translations. I have experience with various software, hardware, and web pages/web design. On that same topic, I also use the latest technology (computer-assisted translation or CAT) to ensure consistency in my translations. Note that this is completely different from machine translation. I will never use online data-harvesting tools such as Google Translate for any content, confidential or otherwise. Rest assured, your data is safe with me. My security procedures can be found here.

I also have experience as a project manager at a web design/translation company. As such, I am very familiar with deadlines and the need for quality translations that are delivered in a timely manner. Read more about my background in the resume section.
